Supporting Jewish Studies

There are three ways to support the Borns Jewish Studies Program at Indiana University: become a member of the Friends program; make a donation in your name, that of a loved-one, or in memory of someone; or endow a scholarship, faculty position or program.

Friends of the Borns Jewish Studies Program

The Borns Jewish Studies Program has been able to flourish because of the support of community members who recognize the value of scholarly inquiry and public education. Many of these supporters have elected to join the Friends of the Borns Jewish Studies Program, one of the largest support groups at Indiana University. The unrestricted contributions of Friends are especially important during this challenging time, and may support student scholarships, subsidize public lectures and other special programs, support the costs of scholarly research and conferences, and more.

We offer Friends a 30% discount on books from Indiana University Press, one of the leading academic publishers in the field of Jewish Studies.

Thanks to state and federal tax laws, your gift to the Indiana University Foundation for the Borns Jewish Studies Program can qualify for certain tax deductions. Please consult your tax advisor for specific information and details.

The IU Foundation solicits tax-deductible private contributions for the benefit of IU and is registered to solicit charitable contributions in all states requiring registration. For our full disclosure statement, see

If you have already included the Borns Jewish Studies Program in your will, please contact Brian Yeley, or 800-558-8311.
