An ideal combination for students who think of pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector or in the Jewish community: a Master’s in Jewish Studies and a certificate in nonprofit management from IU’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
Students interested in combining an M.A. in Jewish Studies and a certificate in nonprofit management need to apply separately to both the Jewish Studies Program and to SPEA.

Two additional SPEA graduate courses are selected with the approval of the student’s advisor. A sampling of current course titles includes: Introduction to Nonprofit Sector, Civil Society and Public Policy in the U.S.; Civil Society in Comparative Perspective; Fund Development for Nonprofit Organizations, Principles and Practices of Social Entrepreneurship; Nonprofits in the Media, and International NGO Management.
